Established in 2020
After years in the pipeline, Art Social Club was launched during a year when the world needed more spaces to feel safe and connected.
Art Social Club offers adults the chance to embrace their inner artist and rediscover the joy of being creative.
Set in an artist's working studio, our adult painting workshops are casual, fun, and accessible. Of course the artist, Jana and her helper Craig are on hand to help you every step of the way!
All you need to bring is yourself, your drinks, and your snacks - We supply glasses, ice buckets as well as a selection of teas, coffee and water.
We cater for all abilities, so even if you haven't touched a brush since school, we will help you connect with your inner artist
Meet your host
Art Social Club was founded by Jana (pronounced Ya-na). Originally from South Africa, with European parents, Jana made London her home in 2001 and has lived and worked in her Art Social Club studio since 2010.
Art Social Club was born out of her passion for all things creative, and helping people discover (or rediscover) their innate creative abilities. Over the years she has taught art to children, adolescents, and adults.
“Creativity has always been a part of my life, and art is in my genes. I grew up in a family where imagination and art was always encouraged. My mission with Art Social Club is to create an environment where people feel that same childlike joy that I feel when expressing myself creatively. It is not about being good, it is about rediscovering that forgotten creativity that is in every one of us and having fun!”
The apprentices
What is a live-in art studio without some feline friends? Our apprentices Monkey and Pixie provide cuddles and entertainment while keeping a watchful eye over the studio. These two resident cats are both very friendly.
The studio
The studio, in London Bridge's Tooley Street, is a unique haven that has inspired countless masterpieces. Designed to be both inviting and creatively stimulating, it provides a cosy escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and the busy precinct below. Every corner is adorned with intriguing knick-knacks, fostering inspiration and sparking imagination. We strive to create an inclusive space where you can truly be yourself and let your creativity flourish.
Please note that the studio is on the 3rd floor of the building and the stairs can be a bit of a workout… but we promise it is worth it!
